New York City & Broadway Adventures Unveiled
On The Road: Claudia Yanez
This week's On The Road interview is with my gorgeous friend Claudia Yanez! She is a Boston Conservatory alumni and is currently traveling the United States with the first national tour of the hit Broadway musical On Your Feet. I have loved watching Claudia live out her dream the past few months and hope you enjoy her interview!
On The Road: Allison Bailey
This week's On The Road interview is with the gorgeous Ozian babe Allison Bailey! She is a Boston Conservatory alumni and is currently traveling around the US with the national tour of Wicked. Allison and co are currently in Chicago, and a few weeks ago, she had a little photo shoot at her theatre with my incredible local photographer, Monica Winters. I hope you enjoy getting this dynamic actor!
Theater History: Cats
Whether the musical Cats is your taste or not, any lover of Broadway and literature can appreciate the history behind this legendary show. I think it's pretty perfect a show that profoundly impacted the arts in Great Britain and the United States has historical roots in both countries. Unfortunately, the beautiful Broadway revival of Cats closed on December 30th. So, in the show's honor, I thought I would give you all some background on the history behind the show.
On The Road: Jillian Butler
I am super excited to officially introduce you all to my gorgeous friend, Jillian Butler! She is a California native and Wicked tour alumni. We’ve never actually met in person, but we connected through Instagram a while ago because of all of our mutual Wicked friends. I just love social media and how close the Wicked family is! Jillian is currently on the road playing Cosette in the national tour of Les Miserables. While the tour was in Nashville, she took my photographer friend Colby Buchanan backstage for a little photo shoot. I hope you enjoy her interview and some of you get to see her on tour this year!
We Three Shows: A Broadway Holiday Benefit
This blog post is extremely belated, but I wanted to write about it because how impactful this event was. This month, three Broadway touring companies happened to be in Chicago at the same time, which never happens! (Side note: Hamilton permanently lives there at the moment.) So, some genius person had the idea to rally the three companies together and put on a benefit show to raise money for our favorite non-profit, Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS. I am so proud of those touring companies and hope you enjoy the pictures from the show, taken by my incredible Chicago photographer Monica Winters!
