I am so excited to share something special with you all today! Earlier this week after our shows ended, Rob Harmon and I gathered a group of our Broadway friends in Times Square to film a music video remake of the hit Maggie Rogers song “Light On”. The world feels a little dark right now so we wanted to share some light and joy - from the brightest part of New York City! I hope this video makes you as happy as it has made us!

This edition of On The Road features the handsome and talented Chaundre Hall-Broomfield! Dre is a Newburgh, NY, native and earned a BFA in acting from Purchase College. He’s currently traveling around the country with Hamilton's Angelica tour! Dre plays the roles of Hercules Mulligan and James Madison, so when his company was in Washington, D.C., I absolutely had to get a picture of him next to the Madison statue in the Library of Congress! I love how Dre's personality shines through all of these images. I hope you enjoy getting to know my new friend as much as I have!

This isn't a revolutionary statement, but MOVING IS HARD. It's especially challenging when you are a proud maximalist like me. I lived in my last apartment for three years and had ample storage space. Over that time period I accumulated a lot of junk and never had to get rid of anything. So when I decided to pack up and move downtown into a tiny apartment, I had to make some major changes. Just in case any of you are moving soon, I compiled a list of random things that helped my moving process a little bit easier!

Before my big move a few months ago, I did tons of research on every home goods product you can imagine. I like being an educated consumer! Quality is extremely important to me, especially when buying products I’ll use regularly. Welcome to the first ever home tour on The Backstage Blonde! Since moving into my new apartment last month, I have been completely obsessed with turning it into the coziest and girliest nest in all the land. Because I enjoy ferociously obsessing over every detail of a project until it’s perfect, with help from Burrow, Allswell, Bear Mattress, Bluebird Linens and Onsen, I achieved my goal in record time!
